Having decided to retire from the organisation fully, Mr David Sparks has recently handed the running of the Company over to his son Mr Jonathan Sparks.
Having secured the position of Managing Director, when Sparks Transport became a Limited Company in July 1971, Mr David Sparks (second generation) had been at the helm for some 35 years. Under David’s management, with a highly loyal and experienced team, the company progressed immeasurably in this most volatile and competitive market. After much deliberation, late in 2006, David decided to fully retire from the organisation, handing over the day/day running of the company to his son, Jonathan.
Jonathan, officially joined the company in 1989, having already spent many years working on weekends and holidays both in the office and warehouses. With a complete overview and a very hands-on approach, Jonathan’s knowledge, not only of SPARKS TRANSPORT but of the industry in which we compete is infinitely beyond that of his years. Together with his cousin, Tristan Sparks, Jonathan will take the company into a youthful, audacious, and innovative period, in this ever-changing industry.
